"Maarten & the team run a very chilled & relaxing retreat. The views from the suites, the dining/bar area & pool are spectactular."

"Farm 215 is relaxed, unobtrusive yet very thoughtful and sincere in its service and approach. We swam in the fantastic lap pool and went riding twice with the African Horse Company."

"Farm 215 itself is an eco-friendly place with a lovely peaceful get away from it all atmosphere. It is everything you see in the photos on the website. Hospitality was first class - homely, friendly and casual but very sincere and effective."

"We have travelled a lot and seen many places, but for us there´s nothing quite like Farm 215."

"The team at the Farm couldn't do enough, but were quietly unobtrusive ensuring our every need was catered for. The location is inspiring and the accommodation understated, individual and luxury. Worth going to SA again just to get back to 215."

"Escaping the humdrum of every day life, farm 215 offers a little slice of heaven in the Overberg."

"The walks on farm 215 are excellent - a myriad of wild flowers and plants to see and photograph."

"You have the feeling to be completely alone in nature in the middle of nowhere, hearing all the nature sounds during the day and evening and almost an absolute silence of the night."

"If you are the kind of person who finds big corporate hotels a little suffocating but does not want to sacrifice comfort or service, then farm 215 is for you."

"More like a private nature reserve, this is "eco-friendly" done properly, combining luxury and a passion for the environment, but remaining strictly laid-back and friendly."

Comment in guest book by guests from Stockholm, Sweden
"Arriving for one night Dec 30, waking up the 31st realising we could not leave."
(Note : since this comment was made, we only accept reservations for two nights or more)

Comment in guestbook about the horse trails with our partner, the African Horse Company
"I can't stop talking to my friends and family about the wonderful rides that I had along the beaches, over the mountains and through the countryside. The wildlife and scenery were stunning and I can't wait to save up my money again to come back."
(Note : the lady was off on her horse every day but spent all her nights at farm 215)

Comment in guestbook by guests from the Netherlands
"It was wonderful to stay here. I have not seen so many flowers since a very long time. The meals are fantastic and the suite is upstyle and a very nice combination of environment friendly and modern architecture. But the best are the people: warm, helpful, educated and good company."

Comments by South Africans living in Hyderabad, India
"Ons het gekom om weg van alles te wees - en dit het ons gekry. Pragtige uitsigte, meer blomme en interessante plante as wat ons kon verwag. Lekker kos en vriendelike mense. Ons sal in Indie terug denk aan hier die paar dae."

Comments by guests from Zuerich, Switzerland
"Farm 215 is a very very beautiful place with lovely people and "snakes". Our son is now so sad that we have to leave the farm 215."
(Note : the son was extremely interested in snakes and we managed to find him a few [non-venomous] snakes).

Comments by guests from the UK
"Thank you for this wonderful spot of beauty. The food has been delectable. Every day we looked forward to our evening meal."

Comments by guests from South Africa
"Thank you for replenishing spirits! Having entertained friends for the past two months we really appreciated being on the other end of the [illegible]. This 2-day honeymoon has felt much longer. We felt completely at home! What an exquisite place and its good to see its on the mend after the fire…. We admire your style. Fabulous [illegible], good wine and living life."
(Note : the "fire" was the Great Overberg fire of February 2006 which burnt about 40.000 hectares of rural and natural land. No buildings of farm 215 were harmed in any manner, but half of the reserve did burn; something that a year later is hardly noticeable. Fire is essential for the rejuvenation-process of fynbos)

Comments by guests from London, UK
