ARRIVE INFORMED,
SETTLE IN FULLY.

We’ve gathered some helpful information to guide your stay at Farm 215. From practical details to what you can expect during your time here, this page is designed to make planning simple—so you can focus on slowing down, breathing deeply, and connecting with the landscape around you.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO.

Water

NATURALLY TINTED, PERFECTLY PURE

The water from the taps is sourced directly from the reserve, is fresh and pure, yet amber colored (some call it yellow, chardonnay colored or even brown).  This is due to the presence of tannins, which are natural organic compounds released from the fynbos vegetation.  The water is safe to drink but if you dislike it, please bring your own “white” water to drink.

SHARING SPACE WITH THE WILD

Farm 215 is a nature reserve; as a result there are insects (including spiders) and other creatures around. Snakes as well, but you must be lucky to spot one.

Maps

THE LAY OF THE LAND

We’ll send you a map and route description to guide your way. One of the roads leading to us isn’t recognised by Google Maps, so the last 3 kilometres might be a little off if you're relying on it. A bit old-fashioned, we know, but also part of the charm.

Road

WHERE THE TAR ENDS NATURE BEGINS

The last stretch of the gravel road can be rough. All cars with normal elevation can make it, but it makes some people nervous. Gravel-roads are more in the mind than in the car we have learnt.

Wood

WOOD FOR WARMTH

Wood will be provided for all the wood stoves and the braai area. If you do run out you can buy some from us. There is an honesty box or you can eft the money.
